What is the difference between Delete and Uninstall?

 Hello my readers!!!

I think this is gonna be an interesting blog!!! Because the topic that i have came up with is small and quite confusing in the terms of use.

But don't worry because I am going to clear the confusion in you minds

So let's start!!

What is the main objective of the two terms?

We use these 2 terms to signify that some programs is no more available in your device.

  • Delete

So deletion of any program is meant by removing it from your device. When you delete a software it means that you remove the basic and important contents of a particular file, it means that whenever you 'delete' a particular folder the main parts and extensions of that folder is deleted but some bits are left. Suppose you scattered a handful of sand in the floor, then you have to pick them by using your hand, suppose the grains of sand are the bits and by picking you are deleting them, no means how carefully you are picking you will left some grains there by some mistakes, so this is the process of deletion. By deleting you actually remove the important and visible content of the program or file but some bits are left in the process, if you delete a large number of apps, the small-small bits will occupy a large space in your HD (Hard-Disk) and will reduce the efficiency of the device over time, so it is important to clean your device periodically to keep it's performance good.

For eg. this is the Avast cleanup app for cleaning unnecessary files from your mobile.

  • Uninstall

Uninstallation is a type of deletion but a whole cleanup like process. In this process if you will delete an app you will delete his whole contents, setup files, folders, images etc. It will remove the app like it never existed in your device, Let's again take the example of a handful of sand that you spreaded in the floor but this time you have a vacuum cleaner. You will just start it and collect the sand and throw it so by using the vacuum cleaner you have cleaned the space with much more precision and negligible mistake. So your whole space is cleaned by this process.

If you delete a software in your PC mostly the data that is in MB ( Mega bytes ) and mainly the software icon get removed but if you uninstall the software the whole memory space everything get removed. Sometimes in certain devices you couldn't find the uninstall option so you can download cleanup apps to get rid of junks, One more thing the leftover bits that i discussed in the delete section are known as 'Junk files'. There is a vast difference between Junk files and cache memory

Cache memory is the memory stored by the device itself to speed up the processing. For eg. if you continuously use an instruction to perform an operation in you computer, the computer recognizes it and store as cache memory. Whereas the junk files are the leftovers of a removed program.

There is a method to uninstall a program from your computer Go to control panel > Programs > uninstall a program  and select and right click and then uninstall.

                                    So that is for today

Stay home, Stay safe and keep reading my blogs!!!

                                                Bye
